Over the past few years, radar and laser detection has significantly increased in popularity and demand.  As technology advances we are starting to see leading radar detector companies make major improvements in overall design and functionality. Despite these innovations, the usability of radar detectors is compromised at the expense of vehicle compatibility and mounting options. Additionally, new technologies such as Distronic cause many units to false constantly. Because Distronic is an important safety technology, owners of these vehicles are stuck with few options.

Seamless Integration

Here at Mid City Engineering, we develop products that eliminate the need for compromise. Our radar detector interface kits for K40 and Escort provide seamless integration with select Mercedes-Benz vehicles, and eliminate false alerts due to Distronic. On top of that we also add the ability to remove any need for flashing LED’s or aftermarket displays.  We’ve done so by converting all messages and warnings from the radar detector into your factory instrument cluster.  Also, we removed the need for mounting an aftermarket controller for the radar detector as well. Instead, allowing the user to control the radar detectors features with the factory steering wheel controls.  All of this without the need to sacrifice any conveniences or advantages of the radar detector or vehicle itself.  Ultimately, presenting users with the true experience of stealth radar technology to the fullest!
