Chicago, IL (11.27.11) SmartKey Starter® for Mercedes-Benz now features compatibility with ML series SUV’s as late as 2012. The new SKS164 provides a plug and play connection to the vehicle’s wiring, allowing the driver to remotely start their vehicle by pressing the panic button on their factory smart key, or select long range remotes.

Optional plug & play add-ons include extended range 1-way and 2-way remotes, giving the driver up to one mile of operating range. Also available, are smart phone interface modules with iPhone, Android, and Blackberry compatibility as well as desktop web browsers.

Installers benefit from a simple and straightforward installation, while end-users enjoy a convenient and elegant feature not available from the factory.

The 9500CR8 is the newest addition to Mid City Engineering’s popular radar cluster integration line. Other modules in the line add the same functionality to many Mercedes-Benz vehicles, as well as the Ferrari California. Remote start for Mercedes Sprinter vans is now available!

Besides being the only remote start option available for Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans, the SKS906 features plug and play compatibility with Compustar® and Directed Electronics® alarm systems. The D2D connection to this unit also controls components like doorlocks via the Sprinter’s computer. This makes installing an alarm system alongside the SKS906 the utlimate time-saving combination.

To control the SKS906 without an alarm system, all the user must do is connect a compatible antenna and transmitter. The unit is programmed to work with Compustar® and Directed Electronics® products, so the antenna simply plugs into the module with no additional parts required.

Compatible Sprinter Vans include models as far back as 2007, and can be found in the SmartKey Starter® compatibility chart.
